Three Phase DOL Starter Panel Comparison
VUKAR makes eleven three phase DOL starter panel models. They split into two families: the TPM series (auto switch, no water level controller) and the TPA / TPB / TPO series (fully automatic, with water level controller). Every model includes VUKAR motor safety, an auto off / stop timer and a cyclic timer, and is sold in five HP options up to 10 HP. The table below shows only what actually differs between models.
Quick answer: which three phase DOL panel do you need?
- Borewell pump with an overhead tank — choose TPA-B, TPB-H or TPB-T. These have a water level controller and are listed for borewell pumps.
- Openwell or monoblock pump with an overhead tank — choose TPA-O, TPO-H or TPO-T.
- No tank sensor, you want auto switch operation — choose TPM-A, TPM-H, TPM-T, TPM-V or TPM-W.
- You want to see the tank level without automatic control — choose TPM-V or TPM-W. These add a water level indicator only, plus a single phase preventer.
- You want the pump to run at fixed times of day — choose TPM-T, TPB-T or TPO-T. These add a clock timer.
- You want an MCB built into the panel — choose TPM-H, TPM-W, TPB-H or TPO-H.

Every model is sold in five HP options: up to 2 HP, up to 3 HP, up to 5 HP, up to 7.5 HP and up to 10 HP. Motor safety, the auto off / stop timer and the cyclic timer are standard on all eleven models, so they are not shown as columns. For current prices, open the product page for that model.
How the model codes work
TP = three phase. TPM = auto switch, no water level controller. TPA, TPB and TPO = automatic, with water level controller — B for borewell, O for openwell and monoblock. The final letter marks the added feature: H adds an MCB, T adds a clock timer, V adds a water level indicator and single phase preventer, W adds a water level indicator, single phase preventer and MCB.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the VUKAR TPM series and the TPA, TPB and TPO series?
The TPA, TPB and TPO series include a water level controller, so the panel starts and stops the pump based on the water level in your tank. The TPM series has no water level controller and uses auto switch operation instead. TPM models are TPM-A, TPM-H, TPM-T, TPM-V and TPM-W.
Do the automatic three phase models also show the water level?
Yes. Every VUKAR model with a water level controller includes a water level indicator as well, so TPA-B, TPA-O, TPB-H, TPB-T, TPO-H and TPO-T both display the tank level and act on it. TPM-V and TPM-W display the level but do not control the pump from it.
Which VUKAR three phase panel should I choose for a borewell pump with a tank?
Choose TPA-B, TPB-H or TPB-T. All three have a water level controller and are listed for borewell pumps. TPB-H adds an MCB and TPB-T adds a clock timer.
Which VUKAR three phase panel should I choose for an openwell or monoblock pump with a tank?
Choose TPA-O, TPO-H or TPO-T. TPO-H adds an MCB and TPO-T adds a clock timer.
Which VUKAR three phase panels include a single phase preventer?
Two models list a single phase preventer: TPM-V and TPM-W.
Which VUKAR three phase panels include an MCB?
Four models include an MCB: TPM-H, TPM-W, TPB-H and TPO-H.
Do all VUKAR three phase panels have a cyclic timer and an auto off / stop timer?
Yes. Motor safety, the cyclic timer and the auto off / stop timer are standard on all eleven models, so they are not a reason to pick one model over another.
What HP range do VUKAR three phase DOL starter panels cover?
Every model is available in five HP options: up to 2 HP, up to 3 HP, up to 5 HP, up to 7.5 HP and up to 10 HP.
