Which number goes in your worksheet?
- Input watts: electrical power an appliance takes under stated conditions.
- Connected load: the equipment total used in the utility record or method.
- Simultaneous load: appliances expected to run together in one stated scenario.
- Sanctioned load: the amount the utility agrees to supply, with the unit shown in its record.
Collect the facts first
- Find the latest bill, consumer number, approved load, unit, and phase.
- Photograph each appliance nameplate or save its official technical page.
- Record model, input power, quantity, and location.
- List new appliances separately from those already installed.
- Mark unknown ratings for the seller to resolve instead of inserting a guess.
A real model: read watts, not litres
Build normal and busy-use scenarios
- For each row, multiply input watts by the number that may operate together.
