Questions before choosing
Which pump installation is BOM-H a good fit for?
BOM-H is designed for a compatible single phase borewell or openwell installation and combines an Auto-Off Stop Timer and an inbuilt MCB with motor protection. This makes its function package easy to match to the way you want the pump to operate. Start with the pump type and supply, then select the motor-rating option from the product details.
How do I select the right BOM-H motor-rating option?
The listed BOM-H range is 0.5–3 HP, with the individual option selected for the motor nameplate. Matching HP, operating current and the single phase supply gives the installer the right basis for wiring and protection setup. Use your motor details alongside the product options when choosing the variant.
How does BOM-H help with a manually timed pump run?
BOM-H’s Auto-Off Stop Timer stops the pump after the configured run duration. It suits a job where you want the motor to finish a selected period of operation. Set that duration for your pumping arrangement, and choose a level-control model instead when the stopping point needs to follow tank level.
When is BOM-H the right choice for timed pumping?
BOM-H is suited to time-based pump operation where tank level is managed separately. Its timer provides the selected operating pattern, while the receiving tank remains a separate part of the pumping plan. If you want the pump to respond automatically to tank demand, compare the corresponding water-level-control options.
What does the inbuilt MCB add to BOM-H?
BOM-H includes an inbuilt MCB for short-circuit protection of the panel circuit. This complements the configured overload, dry-run and voltage functions in its motor-protection package. Have the electrician check the breaker, wiring and motor settings together as part of the complete installation.
How is BOM-H’s motor protection tailored to my pump?
BOM-H uses configured overload, dry-run and voltage limits for the connected motor. Matching those values to the nameplate, supply and observed operation makes protection setup specific to your installation. Have a qualified electrician set and check the values using the exact model instructions.
How does BOM-H respond to an out-of-range supply?
BOM-H can stop the motor when supply voltage is outside the configured high and low limits. The displayed condition gives a useful starting point for checking the incoming supply. Have recurring voltage indications assessed along with the settings so the motor can return to operation under suitable conditions.
How can BOM-H’s display help with operation and support?
BOM-H displays electrical readings, timer information and fault indications. Those details help you describe the pump’s operating state clearly when discussing a setting or a stop. Record the model and displayed values, then use the fault guide to identify the next check or share the information when requesting help.
How can I use BOM-H’s saved running hours for maintenance?
BOM-H’s total running hours remain saved across days and power cuts. Recording the reading at service visits lets you calculate operating hours between valid readings for the same motor and counter. Keep the model, date and work done in the service record, and use the pump manufacturer’s maintenance guidance when planning the next visit.
What makes a good BOM-H installation and handover?
Have a qualified electrician match the single phase supply, motor rating and model wiring to the selected BOM-H variant. Set and test the timed operating pattern for the actual pump and water source. Keep the supplied diagram and agreed settings with the panel so future operation and service start from the correct model information.
