Ceiling Fan Air Delivery and BEE Service Value Guide
Verified 2026-09-05 · By VUKAR Editorial Team
Use air delivery and service value together. This example compares two 1200 mm fans without ranking their brands.
- Hyperjet lists 220 m³/min at 35 W.
- Summerbreeze Pro lists 216 m³/min at 48 W.
- Air delivery tells you airflow; watts tell you electrical input.
- A calculated ratio is not a verified BEE star label.
The names and numbers in plain words
- Energion Hyperjet is Crompton’s series name. Here it means the non-smart 1200 mm Opal White BLDC model.
- Summerbreeze Pro is Orient’s series name. Here it means the 1200 mm Brown induction model.
- CMM means cubic metres per minute: the stated amount of air moved.
- Service value means air delivery divided by electrical input.
Choose the job before the ratio
- Measure the room and check the proposed fan position.
- Confirm the 1200 mm sweep suits the mounting plan.
- Note where people sit, sleep or work.
- Ask for a demonstration at the speed you normally use.
- Compare exact variants. A different sweep can change the result.

Check current price and stockWhat the ratio does — and does not — tell you
- 220 divided by 35 is about 6.29. 216 divided by 48 is 4.50.
- These are calculations from the manufacturers’ listed figures.
- The first ratio is higher. That is not a score for life, noise, service or room comfort.
- Airflow is close, but not identical: 220 versus 216 m³/min.
- A higher RPM number alone does not establish higher air delivery.
- Use the official BEE label for the actual efficiency grade and period.
Keep three questions separate
Only then compare running cost
- Once both fans fit the room, enter their rated watts in the calculator.
- Keep fan count, hours and electricity rate the same.
- Treat rated-power arithmetic as a scenario, not a measurement at every speed.
- Do not enter 6.29 or 4.50 as watts. Those numbers are airflow-per-watt ratios.
- Pause here: which speed will you actually use at night?
Ask to see the evidence
- Does the box show the exact model, sweep and colour?
- Can I see the offered fan’s BEE label and label period?
- Which declared air delivery and power apply to this variant?
- Is a remote or regulator supplied, and what control is allowed?
- Can I try the fan at my usual speed?
- Who checks mounting support, clearances and wiring?
- What invoice and written warranty terms will I receive?
Quick questions
Can I turn 6.29 into a star count myself?
No. Use the applicable BEE schedule and exact model label. A rounded calculation from a store page is not certification.[S3]
Does the higher ratio mean longer life?
No life comparison was verified. Service value concerns air delivery per input watt, not a lifetime promise.[S3]
This comparison covers only the listed models, criteria, sources, and verification date. Omission or missing public data is not a negative judgement about any brand.
