Independent water-heater tool

Geyser Heating-Time, Electricity-Cost & Capacity Comparator

Compare two entered models for ideal heating time, one-batch capacity and a usage-based electricity scenario.

Tank size or star rating alone does not determine actual consumption. Heating energy follows water volume and temperature rise; power mainly changes ideal time.

Step 1

Enter need, usage and model data

Model A

Model B

Standing loss is optional. Enter it for both models or leave both blank.

Runs in your browser. No entered data is stored or sent.

Step 2

Heating and cost comparison

Enter hot-water need and both product values to compare.

How the calculation works

Ideal kWh = litres × 4.186 × temperature rise ÷ 3600. Time = kWh ÷ heater kW. Comparable entered standing loss is scaled by hours kept hot.

Important limits

Real heating differs with efficiency, thermostat control, mixing and losses. Capacity is only a one-batch screen.
