Electrical Cable and Voltage Drop Buying Guide
Verified 2026-09-05 · By VUKAR Editorial Team
Buy the size on your electrician's checked circuit plan. These two black 90 m coils are different conductor sizes.
- Need 1.5 sq mm on the checked plan? Match the exact 1.5 model.
- Need 2.5 sq mm? Match the 2.5 model; do not replace it with 1.5.
- Both listed variants are black, 90 m, and rated 1100 V AC.
- Check voltage drop, safe current, protection, and installation together.
What does Superio+ mean?
- Superio+ is V-Guard's series name, not a wire size.
- Sq mm means square millimetres: the metal conductor's cross-sectional area, not its outside diameter.
- HRFR means heat-resistant flame-retardant insulation. It does not mean the wire cannot burn.
- PVC is the plastic insulation around the conductor. A 90 m coil states length, not the safe circuit length.
Take these details to your electrician
- List the appliances that may run together, including their starting loads.
- Measure the one-way route from the supply point to the load.
- Record conduit, heat, grouped wires, wet areas, and terminal sizes.
- Ask for the chosen conductor size, protective device, and permitted voltage drop in writing.
- Get exact resistance and reactance data for the proposed cable before using the calculator.

Products you can evaluate
These exact variants are reference choices, not rankings. Confirm the circuit design, model, price, delivery, and terms.

Check current price and stockWhat still needs checking?
| Check | Plain meaning | Ask for |
|---|---|---|
| Safe current | Current the installed wire can carry without overheating | Rating adjusted for heat, grouping, and installation[S3] |
| Voltage drop | Voltage lost along the wire route | A calculation at the actual load and route[S3] |
| Resistance / reactance | Cable values used in an AC drop calculation | Manufacturer values with units and temperature[S3] |
| Fault protection | Protection must clear a fault before cable damage | Cable and breaker coordination[S3] [S4] |
A small voltage drop is only one check
- Pause here: a calculator result is not permission to install the wire.
- Use the same load, route, and phase arrangement for each candidate.
- The linked tool asks for one-way length. Do not double it before entry.
- The store pages do not give enough impedance data to calculate an exact drop for these coils.
- Do not enter invented resistance or reactance just to obtain a result.
Ask before paying
- Does the invoice name the exact Superio+ size, black colour, and 90 m length?
- Is the coil sealed, and does its marking match the order?
- Can you provide the current datasheet, conductor data, and installation limits?
- Which wire colours are required for each conductor in my installation?
- What are today's full price, delivery date, return terms, and damage process?
- Will my electrician approve this exact item before opening the coil?
Compare the same purchase
- Compare the same length, colour, tax basis, and delivery address.
- The two variants have different conductor areas. Price alone cannot show whether either fits your circuit.
- The official pages offer Buy now and a pincode check. Confirm the final total before payment.
- No fixed price is copied here because checkout terms can change.
Let a qualified electrician choose and install it
Do not choose wire only by appliance name or this table. Cable size, protection, earthing, connections, and installation need one checked design.[S3] [S4]
These house-wire examples do not establish suitability for submerged pumps, outdoor exposure, buried routes, or every industrial circuit.[S3] [S4]
Quick questions
Does 1100 V mean it carries more current?
No. Voltage rating and safe current are different checks. The safe current depends on the conductor and its installed conditions.[S1] [S2] [S3]
This comparison covers only the listed models, criteria, sources, and verification date. Omission or missing public data is not a negative judgement about any brand.
